Why is my wireless device unstable or unresponsive?

Category : Setup / Operation

If your wireless device (wireless mouse/keyboard/network card... etc.) is connected to a computer or HUB, it may be unstable or unresponsive.

This is due to the inherent features of USB3.0.

When USB3.0 is in use, it will be applied to the Spread Spectrum Clock technology. After spreading, the frequency covers the 2.4GHz frequency band, which has been overlapped with the operating frequencies of many wireless devices, causing signal interference between devices, and thus resulting in this phenomenon.

Intel, one of the manufacturers of the USB3.0 specification, also clarified on this phenomenon. For further details, please refer to the following link:

If you encounter this problem, it is recommended that you use the following methods for improvements:

1. Remove other USB3.0 products from the HUB or the computer (such as external hard drive, external flash drive... etc.)

2. Keep the wireless device away from other peripheral devices connected to USB 3.0. For instance: With USB extension cable, insert them in the USB 3.0 slots on the front and back of the host.
