Do I need to install a driver to use an SSD?

You don't need to install a driver if you are using an IDE SSD. However, if it is a SATA SSD, then depending on your system requirements, a driver may be needed. If you need a driver when installing an OS, please contact the manufacturers of your computer's system or motherboard, and/or download or update to the latest SATA driver available on their website.
