The platform cannot recognize my PCIe Gen.III x4 M.2 SSD and the SSD is burnt.

Category : Specification / Capacity / Performance
Currently there are two types of notch designs for the M.2 SSD:

1. B key design

2. M key design

Transcend's PCIe M.2 SSDs utilizes the M key design, and are thus only compatible with Host platforms with M notches.

In a situation where the user wrongly inserts a PCIe M.2 SSD with M key to a platform that only supports B key by flipping the M Key SSD over, the SSD will become burnt in no time.

Note: For a platform with notch B, please choose a compatible SATA III M.2 SSD product.
